The RDK-408D2 two-stage Gifford-McMahon Cryocooler is one of SHI’s mid-capacity 4K Cryocoolers, with a second-stage capacity of 1.0 W @ 4.2 K (50/60 Hz).  It operates with both air and water-cooled helium compressors.

These 4K Cryocoolers can be found cooling a wide variety of analytical and experimental devices, and offer a very cost effective alternative to open-cycle liquid helium systems.
